DICK FROST
My name is Dick Frost. I am a songwriter, singer, and guitar player. The place of my birth is Hammond Indiana. At age 9, I received my first guitar, a harmony acoustic, which still hangs on the wall of my studio! I knew then that my life dream was to stand on stage and play music!
In 1969, my family relocated to Colorado Springs, Colorado. Being a stranger in a strange land, I soon found out the importance of having my music. It was my companion, my friend maker, and everything I needed to survive! Shortly after graduating high school, I took to the honky-tonks to learn a craft that has stuck with me throughout my life. I have been fortunate for the past 30 years in making my living doing what I love to do! And I plan to continue doing so for the remainder of my life! My music has taken me from Colorado to Texas, New Mexico, Wyoming, Nebraska, and even Hawaii!
I have shared stages with some of the greats in music over the years, including Willie Nelson, Ernest Tubb, Faron Young, Charlie McCoy, Billy Joe Spears, and Delbert McClinton, to name a few! If I have learned anything from these great artists, it’s respect for the music! Treat it right, and it will take care of you! Along the way, at the ripe old age of 17, I fell in love. I am still in love and very much committed to my wife, Melody, and our two great kids, Derek and Brittany. Life has been good to me, and if you come out and catch my act, I’m sure it will be very evident to you.
