Hi Dick:
You have no idea the positive impact you have made on my life. You see I went through a devastating divorce over the past year with little or no hope when my wife walked away with my precious kids, Meghan and Beau, after 16 years of marriage. I turned to the skies for help and ended up becoming a Park Ranger to keep me sane. The day I found out you wanted to perform on my porch, I became so excited that something great was going to happen in my life. AND IT DID FOR SURE!

I met Brad walking the dog at the dumpster...what a great friend you have. There must be a song there somewhere! Then he introduced me and the kids to you. I knew instantly that I was in for the time on my life. Then I met Gary and Chris and a very sweet lady named Melody, your guardian angel. You see, you and the gang changed my life with music and a very sincere smile on that special weekend. I have been so down and out and you gave me a few moments of happiness that I desperately needed.

Thank you so much for coming to my front porch and giving so much. Talent is such a small word for what I witnessed on that stage. The music was awesome, the spirit was unbeatable and the gift you and the gang gave was priceless. I want you to know that you have a home here on my front porch any time. My only regret is that you are not here enjoying the view and playing your music that you so passionately love ever day of the year. Seeing you and the gang at the Gorge lit me up like the moonshine. I had a smile on my face the rest of the day. I hope your experience this weekend was memorable and joyful.

Thank you so much for the gifts you gave to my daughter, Meghan and my son Beau. They cannot stop taking about that cool band and the great people they spent the night with listening to such great music. They are now part of your extended family. Please tell Chris his grandkids made a very positive impression on my two youngsters. They really enjoy playing around the campground with them and look forward to their return someday.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for coming to Mountain View and sharing your life and music with us. You are a one in a million person and have touched the lives of my kids and myself forever. God bless you Dick and your family and friends. Keep on keeping on! Hope to see you and hear your music again very soon.  Your Royal Gorge Park Ranger,
